This beautiful girl donated her lovely hair for a great cause. She looked cute in her new bold and bald look. We wanted to know the idea behind her hair donation. She opened up and shared her experience with our team. Here you can read her beautiful experience along with her before and after pics.
In her own words,
“I am Asawari Chitre and I graduated this year, a student of Psychology. I had the idea of donating my hair from 6 months back. I knew about hair donation long back and suddenly I thought why not donate my hair. Usually, we do some monetary donations but money cannot give everything. And children especially, find it difficult to cope with their loss of hair, though they are very resilient otherwise. So I shaved my head on 15th of May this year.
I shaved my head in a nearby parlor. When I shaved my head, I was very excited. It felt nice to not have the weight of my hair and it felt different. Its a completely new look and I like it. Sometimes it used to slip my mind that I do not need a comb. But yes, honestly “I do miss my hair”. My mother and 4 of my friends accompanied me to the parlor who were very supportive and encouraged me.
Best moment for is
“When someone said I inspired them and even they would like to do it. Sharry, my best friend, who also donated her hair said this and it felt worthwhile, to see that the patients would get another set of hair”.
I just want people to know about hair donation and that even they can donate hair”.
